Dr Hastings joined Kenyon Medical Centres in 2015 and has been a valued member of the team ever since. Before pursuing medicine, he worked as a research assistant at Imperial College London, studying the effects of sleep apnoea in heart failure patients.
He qualified from Warwick Medical School in 2009, completing his Foundation training at Warwick Hospital and UHCW before going on to complete his GP training in 2014. Shortly after, he began working at Kenyon Medical Centres, where he has remained ever since.
Dr Hastings has a strong interest in medical education, serving as a GP Trainer and the Clinical Cancer Lead for the Sowe Valley PCN. His main areas of clinical expertise include cancer care, ENT, and endocrinology. In recognition of his dedication to patient care, he was honoured as GP of the Year at the Carers Trust Award Ceremony 2023, held at Coventry Assembly Rooms.
Outside of work, Dr Hastings enjoys gardening, growing cucumbers, tomatoes, and chillies. In his younger years, he was an active cricketer and swimmer. While he no longer plays, he remains a passionate fan of cricket, football, and most other sports.
