What is Measles?

Measles is a highly contagious viral infection. It spreads easily through coughs and sneezes and can affect anyone who is not fully vaccinated.

Signs & Symptoms

  • High temperature (fever)
  • Runny nose
  • Cough
  • Red, watery eyes
  • Feeling tired and unwell
  • Red-brown rash starting on the face and spreading to the body

What To Do If You Suspect Measles

  • Call NHS 111 or Kenyon Medical Centres on 02476 307024 for advice
  • Do NOT attend the surgery or hospital without calling first
  • Stay at home and avoid contact with others
  • Inform the practice if you have been in contact with a confirmed case
