What is Measles?
Measles is a highly contagious viral infection. It spreads easily through coughs and sneezes and can affect anyone who is not fully vaccinated.
Signs & Symptoms
- High temperature (fever)
- Runny nose
- Cough
- Red, watery eyes
- Feeling tired and unwell
- Red-brown rash starting on the face and spreading to the body
What To Do If You Suspect Measles
- Call NHS 111 or Kenyon Medical Centres on 02476 307024 for advice
- Do NOT attend the surgery or hospital without calling first
- Stay at home and avoid contact with others
- Inform the practice if you have been in contact with a confirmed case
